Born in 1978, Tevfik Dönmez received his Bachelor’s degree in English Language Teaching from the Faculty of Education at Marmara University in 2001. He completed his Master’s degree in Industrial Policies and Technology Management at Istanbul Commerce University, where he is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in the same program.
Dönmez began his professional career as a Foreign Trade Specialist in the private sector between 2001 and 2002. Since 2002, he has continued his professional activities as the founder of Dönmezler Baharat Foreign Trade Limited Company, established in Mersin.
He has authored numerous articles, opinion pieces, and projects on topics such as India Studies, the Belt and Road Initiative, the Immune System, Global Food Supply Security, 100- and 200-Bed Pandemic Hospital Projects, the Mumbai Logistics Center, and the India Research Center. He has held notable roles such as Vice Coordinator of the DEİK Asia-Pacific Business Councils,
Chairman of the DEİK Turkey-India Business Council, Vice Chairman of the MÜSİAD Global Structuring Commission (2018–2019), and Board Member of MÜSİAD following its 25th and 26th General Assemblies.
Dönmez has also served as a member of the 5th and 6th terms of the National Food Codex Commission (UGKK) under the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, as the Founding Chairman of MÜSİAD’s Foreign Economic Relations and Mergers & Acquisitions Committees, and as an Assembly Member of the Mersin Chamber of Commerce and Industry. A member of MÜSİAD and ASKON since 2012, Dönmez is fluent in English and Arabic. He is married and the father of two children.
